More crisis is set to rock All Progressives Congress (APC) in Delta State as the party heavyweights have signalled their intention to decamp en masse to New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP).
This is coming at the heels of consultation by elders in Ika Federal Constituency. The group led by Delta North Senatorial Chairman of the party, Barr Ifeanyi Williams Agholor gave a 7 day ultimatum to the Deputy Senate President, Chief Ovie Omo-Agege and APC’s National body to harmonise the factions in the party or risk mass defection.
APC faithfuls in the state are already jittery at the development as it will further weaken the already shakey foundation of the party in Delta State, and would jeopardize its chances at the 2023 elections against the deep-rooted PDP.
