A Pastor has been assaulted by a group of people who accused him of stealing a phone at Makurdi, Benue State. The incident happened today, about 11am, Monday, October 18, 2021.
Eyewitnesses said the Pastor stole the phone around NNPC Mega station along Otukpo road without a proof of the allegation.
In a video, the pastor could be seen surrounded by people accusing him of theft, some shouting at him and condemning his actions, while others complain of high crime rate in the area, expressing consternation that ‘a man of God is involved in the act of stealing’.
The Pastor could be seen in the video with bloody face.
