
The Judicial Commission of Inquiry (JCI) instituted by the Governor of Imo State, Hope Uzodinma on contracts awarded from 2011 to 2019 under former Governor Rochas Okorocha’s administration, as well as the short-lived period of Emeka Ihedioha has submitted its report.
According to the chairman of the commission, Justice B. C Iheaka, important findings from the report included a high tech contract scam, outrageous inflation of prices, unprofessional supervision of contracts, and several unexecuted contracts, as well as other infringements.
Governor Uzodinma, while commenting on the JCI reports; commended the commission for a job thoroughly done, and without compromise.
He also complimented the civil servants for their assistance to the JCI during the investigation.
The governor, however, said all persons or companies involved in any form of contract scam would be held accountable, and the monies recovered from them.
