Delta State House of Assembly, Tuesday screened and confirmed the appointments of three nominees forwarded by Governor Sheriff Oborevwori.
They are: Sir Edwin Ogidi-Gbegbaje, Chairman, Delta State Bureau for Pensions;
Olorogun Jude Oghenewaire Emurotu, Member Delta State Independent Electoral Commission and Mr Ifeanyi Egwuyenga as Chief Job and Wealth Creation Officer, Delta State Job and Wealth Creation Bureau.
The nominees who appeared separately at plenary presided over by the Speaker, Rt Hon Emomotimi Dennis Guwor, were introduced for the screening exercise by members representing their various constituencies in the hallowed chamber.
During the screening, lawmakers were asked questions on how they intend to effectively manage their offices.
The Speaker, Emomotimi Dennis Guwor approved the confirmation of the appointments following the successful screening in line with the Constitution of Federal Republic of Nigeria.
Majority Leader Hon Emeka Nwaobi in separate motions moved for individual confirmations of the appointments which were unanimously adopted through voice votes by the Speaker, Rt Hon Emomotimi Guwor.
While congratulating the appointees for their confirmation by the State Assembly, the Speaker charged them not to jeopardize the confidence reposed on them by the State Governor.
He urged them to strive to add values to the MORE mantra of the Oborevwori’s administration.
