A motorcycle rider whose name is yet to be ascertained, was this afternoon killed by a kit-and-run driver near the depot at Ubeji, Warri South Local Government Area of Delta State.
According to an eyewitness, the motorcyclist and a Venza car were simultaneously overtaking a fuel tanker when the car hit the biker who was conveying a female passenger.
The Venza vehicle was trying to avoid an oncoming car when he hit the motorcyclist and the passenger, the eyewitness said.
While the bike rider died on the spot, the passenger reportedly suffered a broken leg and was rushed to hospital for treatment.
The Venza car reportedly fled the scene.
