The Labour Party has said that the former national chairman of All Progressives Congress (APC), Comrade Adams Oshiomhole should be ashamed of himself for attempting to use insecurity to measure the performance of Peter Obi while in office as Anambra State governor.
The party noted that under the present administration which Oshomole was the chairman of the ruling party, bandits attacked the convoy of the president and Kuje Prison – killing many security personnel and freeing several terrorists and criminals.
Comrade Adams Oshiomhole had in a video, said that Peter Obi cannot solve Nigeria’s insecurity problem because, he could not stop the menace of ‘Bakassi Boys’ and kidnappers while he was the Governor of Anambra State.
Responding to the statement, the National Publicity Secretary of Labour Party, Comrade Arabambi Abayomi, said that it is curious that a government which Comrade Adams Oshimohole is part and parcel of, can even attempt to use insecurity as the yardstick to talk about any other government before it.
He stated: “Is it not under this same government he formed that, the Kuje Prison was attacked by bandits without a shot fired by security forces who were watching over the place?
Is it not under this same Buhari-led APC government that bandits attacked the convoy of the sitting president and killed close to 30 security personnel?”
