… urges Gov. Okowa, security agents to brace up to security challenges

Delta born human and environmental rights advocate, Chief Comrade Mulade Sheriff, has appealed to abductors of the resident doctor at Ojobo Central Hospital in Burutu Local government Area of Delta State, Dr Wilson Aboyitete, to release him in the interest of the Ijaw nation, Delta State and his family.

Comrade Mulade, who is the National Coordinator of Center for Peace and Environmental Justice, CEPEJ, noted that the abduction of a medical personnel at this critical time creates a wrong impression in Ijaw land, as the riverine areas lack quality medical facilities.

He therefore, called on Ijaw people particularly Ojobo indigenes to take urgent steps to ensure that Dr. Wilson Aboyitete, is freed by his abductors to enable him reunite with his family and guarantee the lives and property of all health workers posted to Ijaw communities in the state.

Chief Mulade who is the Ibe-Sorimowei of ancient Gbaramatu Kingdom, strongly appealed to Governor Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta State and security agencies in the state to do everything within their powers to free Dr. Wilson Aboyitete in order  to assure all resident doctors, nurses and other health workers of their safety in the rural areas of the state.

He said Deltans were becoming worried over the rising rate of insecurity in the state, urging the governor to rise up to the occasion.
