Houston authorities have apprehended a 29-year-old woman earlier this week after learning from her surviving aunt that she was the home invader who fatally stabbed her own mom.

The bizarre incident occurred Monday when suspect Ericka McDonald got into an argument with mom Terri Mendoza and her aunt, respectively 51 and 63-year-old.

The two women called 911 to report that McDonald was intoxicated and creating a disturbance at the home.

McDonald was arrested but released shortly later only to come up with a vile plan. Detectives said that she put on a face mask and broke through a window to her mom’s home.

There she stabbed Mendoza to death and knifed the aunt six times before she fled. When police arrived, she showed up at the scene pretending to be innocent.

McDonald’s surviving aunt later identified her as the assailant. She was subsequently arrested and charged with murder and burglary with intent to commit a felony.
