President Muhammadu Buhari is billed to address Nigerians, today, Monday at 8pm, a statement released by the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina, stated.
The statement requested media stations – television and radio to hook up to the network services of the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) and Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN) for the broadcast.
There are speculations that the President may agree to the proposal of inter-state lockdown, and relaxation of intra-state restrictions adopted by the Nigerian Governors Forum as part of measures to stop the spread of the deadly Coronavirus.
Recall, the Minister of Health, Dr Osagie Ehanire, and Director-General, Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), Chikwe Ihekweazu, yesterday briefed the President behind closed doors.
There is however anxiety throughout the country whether or not another extension would be announced by the President.
