
The Orusuen of Okere-Urhobo Kingdom, Warri; His Royal Majesty Emmanuel Okumagba ll, will on Tuesday January 6, receive his staff of office from Delta State Government.
The event is scheduled to hold at the Orusuen Palace, by Cinema Site, Okumagba Layout, Warri.
It was gathered that the Deputy Governor of the state, Deacon Kingsley Otuaro, will present the staff of office to the monarch on behalf of Governor Ifeanyi Okowa.
The ascension of Emmanuel Okumagba ll followed his selection by kingmakers of the kingdom, and subsequent approval by Delta State Executive Council.
He succeeds a former Professor of Sociology, HRM Prof. Paul Oghenero Okumagba, Idama II, who joined his ancestors in July 2019.
The Orusuen, Emmanuel Okumagba II prior to his ascension to the exalted throne, was a member of the Governor Okowa’s Delta Advisory and Peace Building Council.
Several dignitaries, including the Deputy Senate President, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege, are expected to grace the occasion.
