The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila, on Saturday, paid condolence visit to the family of Ifeanyi Okereke, the newspaper vendor, shot dead by his security aide.
In the speaker’s entourage were the spokesperson of the house, Benjamin Kalu, and some aides.
To receive the speaker at the home of the deceased in Kwata Village, Mandalla, Suleja; were members of Association of Newspapers Distributors, led by their president, Benjamin Obute.
Mr Gbajabiamila condoled with the wife and family of the deceased, and the newspaper association.
He vowed to ensure that the matter is not swept under the carpet, and promised to cater for the family of the late newspaper vendor.
The speaker identified the aide that fired the killer-shot as Abdullahi Hassan who has been arrested and is in police custody.
