
The Chief Press Secretary, CPS to the Speaker, Delta State House of Assembly, Nkem Nwaeke, has congratulated the Rector of Delta State Polytechnic, Otefe-Oghara, Prof. Emmanuel Ufuophu-Biri, on his birthday.
In a statement issued in Asaba on Sunday, Nwaeke described the Rector as a distinguished classmate, friend and proud alumnus of the Mass Communication Department, Class of 1998, Delta State University, Abraka.
He said Prof. Ufuophu-Biri had continued to bring pride to the class through his dedication to academic excellence, professionalism in media practice, and purposeful leadership at Delta Poly Otefe-Oghara.
“Prof. Biri has demonstrated diligence, brilliance and a spirit of service. From our days at DELSU, Abraka, to his current role at the helm of one of Delta’s foremost polytechnics, he remains a shining example of what scholarship and hard work can achieve,” the statement read.
Nwaeke commended the Rector for the visible transformation witnessed at Delta State Polytechnic, Otefe-Oghara under his stewardship, noting significant progress in infrastructure, staff capacity building, and the expansion of academic programmes.
He added that the Rector’s commitment to quality education aligns with the MORE Agenda of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, which prioritises academic excellence, human capital development, and skills acquisition for Delta youths.
The CPS also lauded Prof. Ufuophu-Biri’s contributions to media scholarship and public communication in Nigeria, saying his works continue to inspire young professionals and students in the field.
Nwaeke prayed for God’s blessings of good health, wisdom and many more years of impactful service for the celebrant in the service of Delta State and Nigeria.
