As the storm surrounding the recent defection of former Speaker, Rt. Hon. Yakubu Dogara is yet to settle, the shock created by his unannounced exit of the People’s Democratic Party has left so much questions unanswered. Nigeria may yet witness another tsunami of high profile defection in the coming days. All eyes are now on the former embattled Senate President, Dr. Bukola Saraki, who claimed to have been victimized by former APC National Chairman, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole.
Oshiomhole’s sack as APC National Chairman may have prompted the swift return of Dogara to APC; and most likely Dr. Bukola Saraki may be on the way back to the ruling APC.
Both Saraki and Dogara unceremoniously dumped APC for PDP in furtherance of their political career. With the removal of Adams Oshiomhole as APC National Chairman, a new page is about to unfold as Governor Mala Buni is making frantic efforts to reach out to aggrieved APC defectors for reconciliation. Already, Governor Buni’ s reconciliation strategy is yielding the desired results, and all expectations are now on the formal return of Senator Bukola Saraki to the ruling APC. Could Governor Buni be the game changer for a New APC?
