The Bauchi State government on Friday laughed at the return of former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara, to the All Progressives Congress, APC.

The Chief of Staff to the Bauchi State government, Ladan Salihu, via his twitter handle on Friday, mocked the defection of Dogara from PDP to APC describing the former Reps Speaker “as a circumstantial member” of the PDP.

Salihu went further to say that Dogara’s rejoining of the APC is a “… journey to dead-end”.

News of the defection of Dogara from the PDP to APC emerged on Friday afternoon when he was led by the acting Chairman of the APC and Governor of Yobe State, Mai Mala Buni, to a meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari at the State House.

Buni confirmed to State House correspondents after the meeting that Dogara is now with the APC.

Dogara now 52 years has since 2007 been the representative of Bogoro/Dass/Tafawa Balewa federal constituency.
