On Friday May 1, 2020, Delta State recorded 8 new cases of the coronavirus bringing the total number of confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the state to 17.
Real-Time24 gathered that the health workers including two doctors and two nurses were among those who attended to the lady, Omamuzo Ijala.
The index case was trailed by controversies especially when she demanded on a viral audio, for her test result claiming she was not positive and was poorly being treated at the isolation centre at the Central Hospital in Warri.
But, when her test result eventually came she was positive while health workers also in an audio that went viral alleged that she exhibited very rude and hostile character.
The State Commissioner for Information, Mr. Charles Aniagwu, on Friday confirmed the additional 8 new cases in the state, with two cases discharged and two deaths.
