A 47-year-old man allegedly thrashed his wife following an argument and smothered her to death at their house in Delhi’s Sultanpur on Thursday. The couple had alcohol and when the wife refused to serve dinner, an argument broke out between the two, prompting him to kill her.
The man slept with the body and realised that she was dead after he woke up. The accused, identified as Vinod Kumar Dubey (47), a resident of Sultanpur, has now been arrested.
After committing the crime, the accused also tried to flee from Delhi with over Rs 40,000 cash but was tracked down and was arrested from another location in the nation’s capital.
