Are you running late for work but do not want to miss your workout session? Do not worry, we have got you covered. Do these 7 exercises to help you lose those extra calories.

During the lockdown in Nigeria and other countries, most of us have been shut at home gaining calories from eating overload and inactivity. Fret not as we have rounded up exercises that can help you lose the extra kilos you have gained. For these exercises, you need nothing but 20 minutes and the results will be promising, we promise!

Warm-Up

1. Start by doing 30-40 jumping jacks based on your stamina and speed. As a beginner, aim for 30 and slowly you can aim for 50 as well.

2. After jumping jacks, do high-speed running on the place for 30 seconds and take a 10-second breather.

Main:

1. Mountain Climbers: Now, this is where you get going, lay down on your knees with your spine straight. Move one leg forward, bring it back in place and do the same with the other. The first 5 you can do to get your balance right. Once you get a hang of it, speed up. Do this 30 times (15 on each leg).

2. Burpees: The most dreaded exercise of all but just 10 sets will give you full-body movement. Just lie down in a push-up position, perform a pushup and stand tall on your feet with an upward jump.

3. High Knees: One of the exercises that really gives your core and legs proper movement. Do this 30 times (15 on each leg)

4. Plank hold: Nobody likes a plank! But you will have to start loving this exercise soon or later, that’s how helpful it is. As a beginner, start by holding a plank for 10 seconds and gradually increase your time.

Cooldown:

For cooling down, perform 15 seconds of each on each side: wide toe touch, standing quad stretch, side bench Stretch, overhead triceps stretch and arms cross shoulder stretch.

Remember: You have to follow this routine for at least 2-4 weeks to see results. And while you are religiously following this, make sure you are also eating plenty of nutritious foods and taking adequate sleep and water. You cannot be fit like a fit if you not eating right and sleeping on time.
