● Commends monarch for peace, cultural resurgence and alignment with MORE Agenda
The Speaker, Delta State House of Assembly and Chairman, Conference of Speakers of State Legislatures of Nigeria, Rt. Hon. Emomotimi Dennis Guwor, has felicitated with His Majesty, Ogiame Atuwatse III, CFR, the Olu of Warri, on the occasion of his 5th Coronation Anniversary.
In a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Nkem Nwaeke, the Speaker described the five years of the monarch on the throne of his forebears as a period marked by purposeful leadership, peace-building, cultural resurgence, and commitment to the unity and progress of the Itsekiri people and Delta State at large.
Rt. Hon. Guwor joined millions of well-wishers in celebrating the historic milestone, noting that it symbolizes continuity, tradition, and stability.
According to him, the reign of the revered monarch in the last five years has brought dignity to the throne and promoted development across his domain, Delta State, and Nigeria.
The Speaker further stated that His Majesty’s royal stewardship exemplifies stability, visionary leadership, and values that align with the MORE Agenda of the Delta State Governor, His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori. He said this has reinforced the synergy between the traditional institution and government for the progress of the state.
Guwor commended the Olu for his advocacy in peace, youth empowerment, education, and economic development, adding that the monarch’s vision for a prosperous and united Delta aligns with the principles of democracy and good governance.
“As Speaker and member representing Warri South West Constituency, I celebrate a reign that has brought dignity to the throne of the Itsekiri Nation and has strengthened collaboration between the traditional institution and government,” he said.
On behalf of the Leadership and Members of the Delta State House of Assembly and the people of Warri South West Constituency, the Speaker prayed for long life, good health, wisdom, and a peaceful and glorious reign for Ogiame Atuwatse III.
He also wished the Olu and the entire Itsekiri nation a joyous and memorable 5th Coronation Anniversary and many more years of impactful service to the people.
