Tennis icon, Serena Williams, in a recent post, revealed that she only gives her 7-year-old daughter $7 a week, and even that money must be earned by doing chores around the house!
She said: “I don’t want my child to end up like the Kardashians”.
Despite having a $400 million net worth, Serena says she refuses to just hand her daughter money. Instead, she makes her work for it, teaching her how to save, respect money, and understand the value of hard work from a young age.
According to her, many people struggle financially because they were never taught discipline with money. Those early lessons are exactly what helped her build the empire she has today.
So even though her daughter is growing up in luxury, Serena wants her to understand that nothing in life comes free.
