The Nigerian Guild of Editors (NGE), Senate Press Corps (SPC) and House of Representatives Press Corps (HRPC) have congratulated the Chief Corporate Communications Officer of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC Ltd), Olufemi Soneye on his emergence as Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) overall Spokesman of the Year 2025.
In separate congratulatory statements made available to journalists, the three organizations applauded the recognition conferred on Soneye, Wednesday, last week by the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR).
The President, NGE, Mr Eze Anabal, in the statement, noted that the recognition is a clear reflection of Soneye’s exceptional skill, dedication, and professionalism in the field of corporate communications.
He added that the NNPC Ltd spokesman’s strategic approach to public relations and consistent delivery of excellence continue to set a standard for others in the profession, and that the guild is proud to associate with the consummate communicator, whose impact resonates across the public and private sectors.

The Senate Press Corps described Soneye as a transparent and professional spokesperson, committed to timely, accurate, and impactful communication.
“That you beat every contender for the award, is not a surprise to us going by your professional pedigree that had fetched you similar awards.
“Impactfulness of your win-win communication strategy with stakeholders in the oil and communication sectors, has been greatly felt
by the entire 96 members of the Senate Press Corps through quarterly strategic engagement introduced by your office last year,” the statement added.
Similarly, the House of Representatives Corps, in a statement signed by its Chairman, Gboyega Onadiran, noted that the honour is a testament to Soneye’s professionalism, visionary leadership, and unwavering commitment to strategic, transparent, and impactful communication.
“Your role at the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited has consistently reflected
