The picture below shows Mrs Patrice Lumumba protesting in 1961 in the streets of Kinshasa in Democratic Republic of Congo after the torture and murder of her husband, Patrice Lumumba by Belgian forces in connivance with some Congolese.
Patrice Lumumba was the Prime Minister of Congo, now, DRC.
She requested for the body for burial but the Belgian had mutilated and dissolved his remains in acid.
The picture is how the heartbroken widow Pauline protested her husband’s murder on the streets of Congo. She walked barefoot and half naked.
Patrice was just 35 years old when he was killed and Pauline was 23 years old.
She never remarried until she died on December 23, 2015 – 54 years after the death of her beloved husband!
No body part of Patrice Lumumba has been found to this day.
