A pregnant woman said to her husband, “What do you hope will be a boy or a girl?”
The husband smiled and said, “If we have a boy, I will teach him math, we will go play, and I will teach him to fish.”
The wife again asked, “What if it is a girl…?”
The husband took a deep breath and said, “If we have a girl, I won’t have to teach her anything.”
The wife asked curiously, “Why?”
The husband replied, “Because she will be the one who will teach me everything again – how to dress, how to eat, what to say or not to say. In a way, she will be my second mother. She will consider me her hero, whether I do anything special for her or not.”
“Whenever I refuse her anything, she will understand me. She will always compare her husband to me. No matter how old she is, she will always want me to love her like my baby doll.”
“She will fight the world for me, if anyone hurts me, she will never forgive them.”
The wife smiled and said, “So you mean that whatever your daughter does, your son will not be able to do?”
The husband said softly, “No, no, who knows, my son will do the same, but he will learn. But a daughter is born with these qualities. It is a matter of pride for every person to be the father of a daughter.”
The wife said with a slight moisture in her eyes, “But she will not always be with us…?”
The husband hugged her and said, “Yes, but we will always be in her heart. It doesn’t matter where she goes, daughters are angels who are born to always have unconditional love and care.”
“Daughters are not in everyone’s destiny, daughters are born in the house that God likes.”
