Uvwie Local Government has restricted operating hours of tricycle, popularly known as Keke from 5.00am to 10.00pm every day.
A memo signed by the Chairman, Uvwie Local Government Area, Hon Chief Anthony Onoriede (JP), states that the move is due to incessant complaints and public outcry about robbery, gang raping and other crimes.
The memo added that Uvwie Peace and Security Committee will as from Monday, 16th September, impound any keke caught operating outside the approved hours and its operator arrested.
