The Nigeria Police Force has arrested an Islamic cleric identified as Oluwafemi Idris for being in possession of human parts in Ondo State.
A source said the police searched the suspect’s residence at Akoko area of Ondo State and found human hands, three kidneys, three hearts, spine and a tongue.
The source said: “A search was conducted in his house at Akoko and human hands, three kidneys, three hearts, a spine and a tongue were found in his possession.
“The suspect claimed he is an Islamic cleric and some of the human parts were supplied by his friend, an Alhaji who is also a cleric and one Samuel Kutelu, while he supplied one Babatunde Kayode ( an Oluawo) three human heads.
“Oluawo and Babatunde Kayode have been arrested,” the source added.
Last October, four Nigerians confessed to murder and trafficking of human parts for money rituals.
A video uploaded by Instagram user, Temilolasobola, captured the moment the men who have been arrested by the Nigeria Police Force narrated how they killed people and traded their body parts for rituals.
The first man who spoke admitted that he bought a human head for N20,000 from one Mansuru.
He said, “I bought human flesh (head) from Mansuru for N20,000. I wanted to use it for mercy charm, to open the door for prosperity. The person who introduced me to him is yet to be caught. I had not bought it before; this is my first time.”
The body part trader who identified himself as Monsuru Tajudeen gave a clear picture of how he got the human body parts he had been trading.
He said, “I am the one that sold it to him. My name is Monsuru Tajudeen. It is true. It is this man that brought his friend; we killed him and sold his head to Alfa.
“I don’t know what they discussed but it was when they reached my side that he gave me a sign to kill him. This is the second time. The first person was a female; they were both strangled. So we now sold the parts. The person who brought the man we killed is Lukman.”
When Lukman was asked what offence his friend committed to warrant his killing, he said, “He did nothing.”
“They told me he should come to his place for farm work, I did not know it would end up in his killing. I had known him for three years.”
