A forecaster regarded as a “Nostradamus” revealed who he thinks will be sitting in the Oval Office in 2025 and beyond.

Allen Lichtman, a professor at American University, recently updated his predictive model to account for Kamala Harris replacing Joe Biden at the top of the Democratic ticket.

Lichtman is regarded for his accuracy as he has accurately predicted every presidential election since 1984 when Reagan won his reelection.

His model, as of the end of July, predicts Vice President Kamala Harris will become the 47th President of the United States.

“I have not made a final prediction,” Lichtman told C-SPAN. “I’ve said I will make it after the Democratic convention.”

“But I have said for months, and I continue to say, a lot would have to go wrong for Democrats to lose. That could happen, but a lot would have to change,” he added.

Harris has recently gained momentum regarding fundraising, raising millions of dollars in a short time period.

Polling numbers show a spike for Harris in the polls, opening paths through battleground states and closing the national polling numbers to only a margin of one to two points.

“It has a mixed result, Biden’s dropping out and the presumptive nomination of Harris,” Lichtman said. “But it doesn’t fundamentally change my assessment that a lot would have to go wrong for the Democrats to lose.”

Harris is doing better amongst Hispanic and Black voters while also reeling in independent voters who otherwise would have voted for Robert Kennedy Jr.

The Democratic National Convention is coming to Chicago in August, which could be around when Lichtman rounds out his prediction and model.
