Gunmen suspected to be kidnappers have killed two policemen and abducted a former female commissioner, Ada Anioma Joan Onyemaechi, in a church in Asaba, Delta State capital.
The gunmen invaded The King Jesus and I Church, located off DBS Road on Tuesday evening, July 30, 2024, and opened fire on the two policemen providing security at the church premise, killing them instantly.
After k!lling the officers, the gunmen abducted the former Commissioner, who is a prominent member of the community.
Sources say family of the abducted politician has not been contacted as of the time of filing the report.
It was gathered that operatives of the state police command have launched a manhunt to track down the gunmen.
