Peter Obi denounces those making mountain out of molehill over President Tinubu’s misstep during Democracy Day celebration
The Presidential candidate of Labour Party in the 2023 election, Peter Obi has said that anybody can fall from misstep, therefore, there is nothing to gloat over the incident.
He wrote:
“We achieve nothing by gloating about an accident that could happen to any of us”.
President Tinubu had a fall at the Democracy Day celebration at the Eagles Square today June 12 from misstep as he was about to board the parade vehicle.
Obi expressed his sadness over the incident via his Facebook page and warned against gloating over the accident as it could happen to anyone.
Obi further wrote:
”I was saddened to learn of President Tinubu’s unfortunate fall today. I wish him well. We achieve nothing by gloating about an accident that could well happen to any of us.
We are all human beings and, while we profoundly disagree on how to move Nigeria forward, we must remember our common human frailty. Let us stay focused on the issues that will lead to a new Nigeria.
Video of the president’s fall had gone viral with many Nigerians making mockeries of the incident.
