The presidential candidate of Labour Party (LP) in the 2023 elections, Mr. Peter Obi has expressed appreciation to the New Nigeria Initiative (NNI) for the massive support he received from the group during the 2O23 presidential electioneering campaigns.
Speaking in a town hall meeting organized by the NNI, in Texas, USA, Mr. Obi, who beat the odds to create a powerful third force in party politics in Nigeria, said he is encouraged to see young people who are trying to do ‘something different’ towards developing the country.
He also said that in spite of deep religious beliefs in the country, the lack of orderliness in the country beats his imagination.
Mr. Obi noted that Nigeria is not the only ethnically diverse country in the world, therefore it should not be an excuse for doing things in non conformist ways.
