
Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of A USA based charity organization, Azuka and Ify Foundation has doled out end of year gifts to over 800 persons in various towns and villages in Nigeria.
Chief Executive Officer of the organization, Dr Victor Azuka Ubani said the gesture was in line with one of the core mandates of the foundation as well as detects of Christmas and New Year celebrations.
The beneficiaries which include orphanage homes, widows, physically challenged and the elderly were gifted with cash and food items, including rice, beans, tubers of yam, onions, tomatoes and other items.

Dr Victor Azuka Ubani and wife, Dr (Mrs) Joy Ifeyinwa Ubani, founder and co-founder of the charity organization, were represented in all the orphanage homes and centres where the gift items were distributed.
The locations include; Obiaruku, Emuhu, Igbodo, and Owa Alizomor, all in Delta State, and two others in Lagos State and the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.
Dr Ubani in his goodwill messages delivered across the centres, acknowledged challenges faced by the targeted groups and the need to reach out to them for support in line with the spirit of the season.
He explained that distribution of cash gifts and food items have become an annual event by the foundation, disclosing that over the years, the global non governmental organization had at various ways gave lifeline to people in special needs.
Dr Ubani, an indigene of Igbodo in Ika North East Local Government Area of Delta State, South-South Nigeria, paid glowing tributes to his wife, Dr (Mrs) Joy Ifeyinwa Ubani for her disposition towards reaching out to the vulnerable in the society.
In her words of encouragement, Dr (Mrs) Ubani, urged the beneficiaries to ‘look on to God at all times for solutions to any difficulties faced, stressing that His grace is sufficient to tackle life challenges’.
Some of the beneficiaries who spoke to our reporter, expressed profound gratitude to Azuka and Ify Foundation for the cash and food items, even as they solicited for more support.
They described the gesture as worthy of emulation, saying that the high poverty level and serous economic challenges in Nigeria had made survival in the country more tasking.
Those who spoke include Mrs. Ejime Onyenelue, Mrs. Flora Uwakina and Mr. Emmanuel (Obiaruku), Madam Adagbo Rose (Igbodo), Mr. James Ogwu (Emuhu) and Mrs. Iku Nkechi (Owa Alizomor).
They prayed for the foundation as well as the founders for providing sustenance to them during the celebrations.
