
President Bola Tinubu has suspended Mrs Halima Shehu, the National Coordinator and Chief Executive Officer of National Social Investment Programme Agency (NSIPA).
The president, according to sources, approved Shehu’s suspension with immediate effect and ordered her replacement.
This comes just three months after confirmation of her appointment for the position by the Senate.
Mrs Shehu had worked as the National Coordinator of the Conditional Cash Transfer Programme, and used her banking and career experience to digitalize the programme.
She worked at the Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development under ex President Buhari from 2017 to 2022.
