The Oyo State Police Command has allegedly located in Ibadan, family members of John Aderemi Abiola, the man who died in his room without being noticed for three years.

It was gathered that the late Mr Abiola visited the family in 2018 and they lost contact with him since then.

Apparently, the police appear to have details of the deceased man and may use all the information at their disposal to trace him to his building in Port Harcourt where his wife is believed to be living.

John Abiola is said to have two children, with one of them, female in the USA.
According to a family member, he obtained visa to visit the daughter after Odun Ileya festival in 2018, probably when he died, she lost contact with him.

A source from the deceased family advised: “Please, don’t stay alone in an isolated or new site or bushy areas. Let those working for you – people like bricklayers, carpenters, mechanics, tailors know one or two of your extended family members”.

The family source added: “He was a comfortable engineer. The carpenter always heard him talking to his daughter in the USA. The carpenter also knew that he visited his mum monthly in Agugu area with money and supplies.

“He never took the carpenter along. The carpenter said he told him he had HBP, he also feared dust and smoke.

“The mechanic helped him to buy his car. He told the carpenter that he had a block of 4 flats in PH, that he separated from his … wife and she sent him packing from his building in PH.

“Police must recover the building. The daughter should be traced through the visa. She knew what happened between her parents.

“His phone, his TV, his laptop, coartem medicine, his herbal tea were all intact and covered with dust. He was apparently treating malaria fever”.
