Oshiomhole, Akpabio, Umahi, others make list of APC Presidential Campaign Council

…Amechi missing in the list

At the APC presidential primary election held in Eagle Square, Abuja, while the likes of Ibikunle Amosun, Godswill Akpabio, Dimeji Bankole, and others withdrew for Tinubu, Amaechi insisted and did participate in the election, earning some appreciable votes and the runner up position.

However, while the likes of Godswill Akpabio, Adams Oshiomhole, David Umahi, Ben Ayade, Atiku Bagudu, Hadiza Bala Usman and others made the 19-member list released on Friday, Rotimi Amechi – the runner up, is missing in the list.

Tongues are already wagging as to the reason he was not included in the council.
While some who spoke to Realtime.ng said it was a kind of punishment for his “rather recalcitrant refusal to step down”, others believe that the former Rivers governor “has lost touch with his political base in his home state”.
