
Senator Abdullahi Adamu has emerged as the National Chairman of All Progressives Congress (APC).
He was returned unopposed at the party’s national convention held at the Eagle Square in Abuja, the nation’s capital, on Saturday night, March 26 following withdrawal of other candidates.
Adamu, a former Governor of Nasarawa State, is a serving member of the Senate, representing Nasarawa West.
He was endorsed by President Buhari for the position ahead of the convention.
Governor Abubakar Badaru of Jigawa State, who is also Chairman of the Electoral Committee, announced Adamu as the winner of the contest after he was endorsed by party members and leaders at the convention via a voice vote.
Adamu takes over from Adams Oshiomole, formerGovernor of Edo State.
