MTN Nigeria has apologised over the network outage experienced by several subscribers of the international telecommunications giant.

MTN network was unavailable around 2.pm and remained so for a few hours – causing major hiccups to several people and businesses.

The telecommunications giant which has over 77.35 million subscribers in Nigeria, reportedly worked spiritedly to restore connectivity to its customers.

MTN in a Facebook post apologised to subscribers over the outage.

“Dear customers, we apologize for any inconvenience this has caused!

“Some of our customers are having difficulty in connecting to the network today. We are looking into this and are truly sorry for any inconvenience caused”, the post read.

Network has been restored to the affected areas, according to reports.
