Obadiah Mailafia, 64, died on Sunday morning from an undisclosed illness.

A former Deputy Governor of Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Obadiah Mailafia, is dead.

He died of undisclosed ailment in Gwagalada Specialist Hospital this morning, Sunday, September 19 at the age of 64.

One of his associates, John Hayab, confirmed his death.

Mr Mailafia was a popular public commentator who was always willing to share his view on public affairs.
