Not less than 15 pupils and students of Army Day Primary/Secondary School, Effurun, Uvwie Local Government Area of Delta State were this evening, Thursday, July 8 crushed to death by a petrol tanker.
The students were returning from school at about 3:30pm when the tanker loaded with petroleum product crushed them to death.
Others who sustained injuries were rushed to Army Hospital, Effurun Barracks for medical attention.
The accident occurred opposite Effurun Barracks of Nigerian Army, along NPA Expressway.
It was gathered that some parents lost as many as three children in the accident, and that one the parents who lost three kids collapsed on receiving the news.
She was immediately rushed to hospital.
