A notorious armed robber, Simon Edegba who has been terrorizing residents of Ethiope West Local Government Area of Delta State, was on Tuesday July 6 arrested by a vigilante group during a robbery operation. Other members of the gang allegedly escaped into the bush.
It was gathered that the robbers disposed many people of Otefe-Oghara of their valuables at gun point before the vigilante group swooped on the robbers.
A locally fabricated pistol which was used in the robbery operation was recovered from Simon; who confessed that a member of the gang simply identified as Chulex gave him the gun for the robbery operation.
Simon who hails from Koko junction, has been living in the Polytechnic town of Otefe-Oghara, Ethiope West Local Government Area of the state.
