Violence has been reported at Ughoton, Okpe Local Area in the ongoing Delta State local government election.

According to an observer, “a voter was intercepted by a party representative and he was directed to vote for a particular party, which he resisted, and this led to the violence”.

It was however gathered from other observers that the violence was caused by some PDP supporters who interrupted the peaceful voting at the unit.

As a result of the violence, voting was halted at the unit by the police officer assigned to the polling station.
