  • Seeks cordial relationship with the service

Ohanaeze General Assembly World-Wide has urged Ndigbo under the umbrella of the body to be law abiding and to always follow due process in all their transactions, and advised that fellow due process in all their transactions. The group also adised “anyone or group who decides to do anything with the name of the group [to] first approach the group for endorsement and clarification”.

The President of Lagos Chapter of the organization, Chief Sir Eric Eze (Ochiagha); made this known during a familiarisation  visit to the Directorate of State Service (DSS), Lagos State.

The president who was accompanied on the visit by the Director General, Culture and Tourism, Chief Obioma Nnazor (Aguejiejemba) as well as other frontline leaders of the Ohanaeze General Assembly Worldwide, Lagos Chapter, said the body is a duly registered group, and is poised to strike a chord of cordial relationship with the DSS, Lagos Service.

The apex Ndigbo body called on its members and Ndigbo in general “to desist from doing anything that will drag the name of the organization in the mud”.

The organization stated, “no one should mistake the body as a political group because the Ohanaeze General Assembly Worldwide is non-partisan”; and warned that any infraction of its rules and regulations would “be duly prosecuted in accordance with the law”.

The president, on behalf of the chapter, expressed appreciation to the directorate for the audience and called on Ndigbo in general to always abide by extant laws in all their transactions.

 The President, Chief Sir Eric Eze also said that “Ohanaeze General Assembly Worldwide remains one and the same, united in purpose and mission”.

He emphased that for the first time, the body has been repositioned for its actual constitutional roles which duly protects the interests of Ndigbo.
