Nollywood actor, Ernest Asuzu has finally succumbed to a longtime ailment that left him bedridden for three years and out of Nollywood screen since 2015.

According to Premium Times; his close friend and journalist, Sam Anokam, confirmed the sad incident and stated that he died on Tuesday night in Lagos.

He was aged 37.

Asuzu began his acting career in the ’90s and rose to prominence after he starred in the 1997 Nollywood classic, ‘Rituals’

He was the toast of Nollywood until his career nosedived when he came down with a stroke in 2015 which affected his speech.

In his last interview in December 2020, Asuzu said his problem was spiritual, and that he was girding to return to Nollywood and music after an eight-year absence.
