Mother luck was on duty at the early hours of Tuesday (today) when a Toyota Camry car with five young occupants plunged into the Afisere River in Ughelli North Local Government area of Delta state.
The driver who was said to be on top speed, apparently lost control and plunged into the river.
A commercial motorcycle operator who was an eyewitness narrated how the driver lost control and plunged into the river, saying that the occupants survived the accident by the grace of God.
Other eyewitnesses blamed the accident on over-speeding; and said the driver and the occupants were under the influence of substance(s).
The five occupants of the vehicle hurriedly left the scene when the crowd continued to swell, with many trying to catch a glimpse of the scene of the accident.
