Suspected cultists on Wednesday night shot dead a forty-one-year-old Civil Servant with the Delta State Government, Mr Francis Afam at Limpopo Bar by Summit Junction in Asaba, the Capital of the State.
The deceased was said to be enjoying himself when two gunmen entered the drinking spot and spoked life out of him.
The gunmen were also said to shot sporadically in the area as they ensured he breathe his last before they left the scene of the incident which caused serious tension amongst other customers, business owners and residents.
When contacted, the Delta State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Onome Onovwakpoyeya confirmed the report on Thursday morning in a telephone chat with Our Correspondent in Warri.
The Police I\image-Maker said, “One Francis Afam, 41 years old who hails from Onitcha-Ugbo was shot on the head by two armed men suspected to be cultists at Limpopo Bar. That’s the information”.
