Unknown gunmen on Tuesday evening shot dead a suspected internet fraudster in Warri, Delta State.
RealTime24 learnt that the deceased who was popularly known as “Yahoo-Yahoo” was gunned down at his residence in Essi-Layout, Warri.
It was gathered that when the gunmen arrived the area with a commercial tricycle locally referred to as keke, they called out the deceased from his apartment and shot him several time in the presence of his mother.
It is still not clear why the gunmen killed the deceased. As a result of the incident, there is Palpable fear in the area.
When contacted, the Delta State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Onome Onovwakpoyeya confirmed the report in a telephone chat with our correspondent in Warri.
She said, “Yes! It’s true. Details have not come in. I cannot tell you what happened now.”
