Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State has lost one of his strong loyalists, Odiari Princewill.
Princewill until his death was the chairman of Asari Toru Local Government Area.
He was reported to have died of complications arising from coronavirus at about 10pm and was laid to rest at the Port Harcourt cemetary on Thursday morning.
Other sources have however dismissed the link of Princewill’s death to the COVID-19 pandemic despite being admitted for treatment for an unknown sickness at an undisclosed facility for some days.
Meanwhile, the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Rivers State, has described the demise of Princewill a great shock to the PDP family in the state considering his passion commitment to the party and the state
State PDP Chairman, Ambassador Desmond Akawor in a statement said: “The state secretariat of the Peoples Democratic Party is in a great mourning mood for losing such a quality patriot.
“We pray that God Almighty will console his family, and our dear Governor, His Excellency, Chief Barr. Nyesom Ezenwo Wike, as well as our entire party members in the state.
