Nigeria on Sunday recorded 86 new confirmed cases of the coronavirus bringing the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 627.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control NCDC, disosed this in its latest statistics on the spread of the global pandemic in the country.
The NCDC said till date, 627 cases have been confirmed, 170 cases discharged and twenty-one deaths recorded in Nigeria.
A breakdown of the 86 new cases which were reported from seven states showed that, Lagos has 70, FCT 7, Akwa Ibom 3, Katsina 3, Borno 1, Bauchi 1 and Jigawa 1.
The latest numbers bring Lagos state total cases to 376, followed by Abuja at 88, Kano 36, Osun 20, Oyo 16,, Edo 15, Ogun and Katsina 12, Akwa Ibom and Kwara 9, Bauchi 7, Kaduna 6, Delta 4, Ekiti and Ondo 3, Enugu, Rivers, Jigawa, and Niger 2, while Benue, Borno, and Anambra state recorded one case each.
