The Police Public Relations Officer, Delta Command, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Onome Onovwakpoyeya has disclosed in a telephone interview this evening; that the Police will arrest defaulters of the government-stay-at -home order and those urging Christians to attend Easter service on Sunday at the various worship centres.
The clarification became necessary following a statement being circulated on the social media that the State government has relaxed the stay-at-home order to allow Christians worship at their churches for the Easter Sunday.
The statement added that the church service should not exceed two hours and that the restriction will continue at 1pm the same day, Sunday.
The statement was credited to the Delta State Chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria CAN, Apostle Sylvanus Okorote.
