Government officials, without authorized permit to move around during the 14-day stay-at-home order by the Delta State Government have been urged, to heed to the order like other law-abiding citizens of the state.
The advice was given on Tuesday by a Delta State Government monitoring team led by the Special Adviser on Local Government, Prince Kelly Penawou who were in Warri and its environs to enforce compliance to the order.
The monitoring which has, the Special Adviser to the State Governor on Environment and Marine Transportation, Hon Daniel Yingi, and supported by the Warri South Council Chairman, Dr Michael Tidi frowned at the attitude of some government functionaries who were using their positions to move about town.
Our source said that the monitoring team stressed the need for residents of the area and other parts to come to terms with the reality of the coronavirus, urging them to adhere strictly to the stay-at-home and other directives of the government
In the last three days, normal activities were picking up in Warri and Uvwie following what observers adduced to the relaxed enforcement, to the stay-at-home order.
