…says it absorbs risks, reduces retailers costs

Kelvin Emmanuel, a frontline economist has thrown his weight behind Dangote’s petrol distribution network, arguing that the initiative will reduce pump price and assuage risks of distribution.

He wrote: ‘The statement from DAPPMAN regarding the Dangote Refinery is factually incorrect. The gantry operates on an open-access principle, allowing all parties, including NUPENG members, to load products upon meeting set standards and payment. The cost of transporting petrol from Lagos to other parts of Nigeria is approximately N2 million.’
