Managing Director of MICMIRASTEPH LTD, Prince Samuel Chukwudi has appealed to Nigerian youths to shelve the planned nationwide protest and engage in continuous dialogue in the overall interest of the country.
Princes Chukwudi said this while reacting to the proposed protest scheduled to hold from 1st to 10th August 2024.
Though not advocating dialogue on behalf of the federal government, Prince Chukwudi who is the Editor-in-Chief of Apexrepoters Magazine, noted that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, is aware of the peculiar socio-economic challenges confronting Nigerians, added that the problems were inherited.
He advised the youths to tow the path of understanding, and shelve the planned protest, which could be hijacked by enemies of the state.
“Rather than protesting, let us consider alternative means of expressing our grievances like dialogue and petitions. This may easily give hoodlums an opportunity to hijack the protest. I stand in solidarity with my fellow country men during this great challenging times and empathise with the pain, anger and frustration that many are experiencing.”
“We must not forget the EndSars and RevolutionNow protests or the most recent ones in Kenya and Pakistan where miscreants hijacked the exercise which led to widespread looting, destruction of properties and unfortunate loss of lives.”
“I therefore plead for more time for the present government led by his Excellency President Bola Tinubu, GCFR, to implement their policies and expedite efforts to alleviate the suffering in the land, while also looking into the points itemized by the aggrieved agitators,” he ended.
Long Live Federal Republic of Nigeria
