Tennis icon, Andy Murray has taken a swipe on British journalist and television personality; Piers Morgan after he congratulated Messi and Argentina for lifting the 22nd edition of FIFA World Cup which he predicted that Argentina will lose and “Messi will cry”.
Before the match, Morgan tweeted: ‘PREDICTION: France will beat Argentina 3-1 to win the World Cup. Mbappe will score twice, Griezman will be MoM and Messi will cry”.
It however turned out the TV personalities’ prediction went awry wrong with Argentina lifting the World Cup and Messi smiling.
Piers Morgan tweeted after the match; “BREAKING: Argentina win the World Cup on penalties. What a game. Incredible drama. Congrats to Lionel Messi and his team. Commiserations to the French who gave it everything, especially the brilliant Mbappe.
Football eh.. bloody hell!
Reacting, Murray wrote on Twitter: ‘Not sure that could have gone any WORSE for you!’
